STELLA: Capturing Precious Moments in Your Home
Most of my newborn sessions take place in my studio in Huntingdon Valley, PA, but I also love traveling to families’ homes for in-home newborn sessions. These sessions provide a unique and intimate way to capture the early days of a baby’s life, right in the comfort and warmth of their own home.
A Cozy, Personal Approach to In-Home Sessions
In-home sessions are slightly different from studio sessions. I typically photograph in the nursery, highlighting all the tiny details carefully chosen to welcome the baby. These sessions are relaxed, using minimal equipment to preserve the natural feel of your space. I usually bring only:
- One prop
- A soft blanket
- A few swaddles
- Headbands, if needed
The Beauty of Natural Light
One of my favorite parts of in-home sessions is working with natural light. I look for textures, warm spaces, and areas that create a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The result is a collection of images that feel personal, heartfelt, and timeless — truly reflecting your family’s love and connection.
A Family I’ve Had the Joy to Watch Grow
This particular session was extra special. This beautiful family has trusted me with so many milestones, from their wedding day to welcoming multiple children. I still remember their elegant wedding, with classic black, white, and pink tones — it was no surprise that their nursery perfectly matched their timeless style.
